Office Hours
Office Photos
Our office will do its best to schedule appointments at your convenience. We find that young or anxious children have a better experience in the morning. At this time of day, children are well rested, refreshed, and more cooperative.
School-aged children can be scheduled throughout the day for routine visits. Sedation appointments are only scheduled in the morning. We would appreciate a 48 hour
cancellation notice.
Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided. This includes deductibles and
co-insurance. We accept cash, personal checks, and most major credit cards. We also take Care Credit.
We create an individualized treatment plan for all patients. Our treatment coordinator will review the recommended treatment and the estimation of your dental insurance reimbursement.
Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan that fits your timetable and budget and gives your child
the best possible care.

Dentistry for Children
What is a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric dentist like Dr. Phillips is a specialist dedicated to the oral health of children and the management of their dental development and growth. A pediatric dentist has an additional two to three years of specialty training following dental school and limits their practice to treating children only. Our office is designed for treating children from infancy through adolescence, as well as children with special health care needs. We understand that children have unique dental and behavioral needs compared to adults. In addition to treating existing dental problems, we focus on prevention through patient and parent education. We will provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.
What is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist?
When a Pediatric Dentist is Board Certified it means that the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry or ABPD certifies that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist, like Dr. Phillips, has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to the delivery of quality patient care.

Our Reviews
"I took my two sons (ages 6 & 9) here for their first dental visit in Boise. Both the dental assistants were so sweet and kind with my boys. They were very gentle and did a great job cleaning their teeth. Dr. Alexis was just as sweet and down to earth. The office itself is pleasant, kid-friendly, and joyful. I'm so happy to have found a wonderful pediatric dentist so quickly after moving here."

"I have twin boys that are 16 months now and the staff at Dr Phillips office was absolutely amazing with them. I look forward to having more visits in the Boise office. The boys loved it and did awesome for their first dentist appointment."
Sarah D.
"We love Dr. Alexis and her staff! We have one little who jumps right up in the chair and tries to entertain everyone! We have another who would rather her teeth just stay in her mouth and not be addressed by anyone! With both girls, the entire staff is flexible, helpful, kind, and caring! I highly recommend bringing your children here!"
Stormy S.
"Dr Phillips and her staff are so kind! This was our second visit to the office and I just can’t recommend them enough! Everyone is so patient and kind, such an encouraging environment. My son who is autistic and has some sensory challenges was nervous going in and everyone quickly put him at ease - he ended up doing so great! Highly recommend!"

Dr. Alexis Phillips is looking forward to providing excellent and compassionate dental care to the children of Boise and Eagle.
Dr. Alexis Phillips is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She grew up outside of Atlanta in a medical family with three younger brothers. She attended the University of Georgia, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After a great 4 years in Athens, GA, she was excited to start dental school at the Dental College of Georgia where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. She graduated top of her class and was awarded membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. P (what most of her patients like to call her) knew she wanted to work with children even before dental school, so it was the obvious next move to pursue a residency in pediatric dentistry. She completed two additional years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, one of the top 3 ranked children’s hospitals in the country. Residency at Cincinnati Children’s provided her with extensive training in treating the dental needs of infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special developmental or medical needs. She also gained expertise in sedation dentistry, advanced behavioral management techniques, and dental trauma.
Dr. P resides in the North End with her husband, Eric Lyall, an emergency medicine physician at St. Alphonsus. They enjoy cooking, hiking and biking the foothills with their dogs, and skiing the slopes.
Dr. P is passionate and committed to creating a really wonderful and positive dental experience for you and your child. Come see and FEEL how we are different! We can’t wait to meet you!

First Pediatric Dental Visit
Request a Visit
Loved by kids. Trusted by parents.
Dr. Phillips and her team are dedicated to great dental experiences. We, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend you bring your child for their first check-up when their first tooth appears or by their first birthday.
During your first visit, you will be introduced to our children’s dental team and have a tour of our office. We will also discuss your child’s unique smile and ways to keep it beautiful for years to come.
We request that you complete our "New Patient Forms" prior to arriving for your appointment. This helps our office keep you and everyone else’s scheduled visit on time.
Your initial exam will last approximately 30 minutes. Oral hygiene instructions will be given with suggestions to help you and your child care for their teeth.
In most cases, we will clean your child's teeth on this visit and provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
Please complete our New Patient Forms.
Thank you.
